It's almost here! Our Loose Surface Autocross will be held on Sunday 10th November 2024.
We return to last year's site at Dereen Sand and Gravel, O'Brien's Bridge, Montpelier, Co. Limerick with the kind permission of Paddy Kelly.
In a change to last year, 2 Drivers will be taking to the track per lap!
We look forward to close battles as Drivers look to get the last Championship points, from the Junior classes, right through to the Buggies, Specials, 2WD Saloons and on to the 4WD Saloons.
The event is the Last counting round of:
- The Tallybrooke Civil Engineering Ltd National Loose Surface Autocross Championship
- The CJN Plant Ltd & Eamonn Barrett International Transport Ltd Munster Autocross Championship

Details:
The last round of the Motorsport Ireland National Endurance Championship, the Birr & District Motor Club Endurance Trial is taking place on Sunday 22nd September 2024.
H.Q for the Endurance Trial is the Ballingarry/Knockshegowna Community Centre in Ballingarry, Roscrea, Co. Tipperary. Scrutiny/Documentation is from 7:30am with Start @10.00am and the first car finishes around 5:30pm.
HQ: Ballingarry/Knockshegowna Community Centre, Ballingarry, Roscrea, Co. Tipperary.
Sign on: 07:30 to 9.15am
Drivers Briefing 09:30
Start Time: 10.00
Finish Time: 17:30 Approx First Car Finishes.
Prize giving: 18:45

COC Davy Percy and his team have opened entries for our Grass Autocross running on Sunday, 25th August 2024
They are using the same great venue as last year near Cloughjordan (see regs above for details)
This will be a round of the
- Shannon Trophies National Grass Autocross Championship
- Barrett International Transport and CJN Plant Munster Autocross Championship.

The Annual Tom O’Reilly Memorial Car Treasure Hunt took place on Monday 5th August based in Dooly’s Hotel Birr.
This year’s route started in Emmet Square then on to the Miletree, Clareen, Longford and finishing in Kinnitty Village. Clues were funny, challenging and entertaining.
An entry of 99 cars took part. Competition was fierce and eventually DJ Wilson and Fionn O’Carroll tied on 655 Marks to be declared Joint Winners along with a 3 way tie for Runner Up Position with Ruth Scully, Niamh Carroll and William Fleury coming in on 640 Marks. 3rd Overall ended up in a 4 way tie on 630 Marks for Denis Delaney, Eamon Crowley, Lorraine Brophy and Dermot Horan.
As ever the Birr & District Motor Club would to thank the residents along the route for their patience and understanding and Dooly’s Hotel for a magnificent HQ. A very special thanks to the organising team that was led by Eoin Longworth which comprised of Ethna Garahy, Una O’Brien, Theresa Moore, Susan Smyth, Pat Horan, Padraig Forde, Declan Burke, Conor Keane, Evan Murphy, Gerry McLoughlin, Claire Brady, Hal Lewis, Stephen Carway, Michael Parkinson and Mick Boland.
Tom O'Reilly Memorial Car Treasure Hunt - Monday 5th August
The Birr & District Motor Club Tom O'Reilly Memorial Annual Car Treasure Hunt will take on Monday 5th August 2024.
A fun filled evening for all the family is assured whilst finding and solving the clues along a Route which will prove both Challenging & Entertaining to all the participants.
Registration from 5:30 at Dooly's Hotel, Birr.
The Car Treasure Hunt is running in conjunction with the Birr Vintage Week & Arts Festival.

Why not join us in Garahys, Birr for our fun filled Summer Autotest on the 7th July 2024. Tests will be Simple, easy to remember and will be suitable for Multi Venue, Endurance, Retro and Road Cars.

- Great days driving and fun assured.
- Round 4 of the MI National Autotest Championship
- Simple Open Tests on Sealed Surfaces.
- Suitable for Road, Multi Venue & Endurance Cars.
- One day event licences available on request.

Tests will be Simple, easy to remember and will be suitable for Multi Venue, Endurance, Retro and Road Cars. Tests will be on sealed surfaces. This year is also rounds 5 & 6 of the Partsworld Munster Autotest Championship.
